Bible Sense for Progress

, the price is £3 but if you enquire, we may even be able to send you a free copy)

Speaker: Eld. Dayo Dare (First Elder, BHSDAC)
(Narrated by Sis. Ayobola Akwarandu)

Welcome again! Find my summary to last Sabbath message below:

Progress is one of the heritages of God’s children. You may not be there yet but if you are going somewhere, step by step you will get there. Paul said he counts himself not to have apprehended. Where you are cannot be your ultimate, press unto higher things towards your mark. I have a long way to go but I will get there.

Requirements for Progress:
  • You need to forget those things that are behind; especially the negatives!
  • Also, let go of the achivements of the past  - this has held many people captive in a subtle way. Paul said ‘forgetting those things which are behind...’
God has plans of unlimited adventure for us. You are a candidate of progress because God has a plan for you. You are made for progress, so don't give up…keep up with the plan!

‘Reaching forth’ means confronting the present. In Isaiah 43: 3, God is saying you can't be hindered or stopped. There is no challenge that is superior to God’s grace (1 Corinth 10: 13). God said you can count on ‘my faithfulness’. No matter the challenges, always remember it is common to all men and God is bigger than the challenge! There is a way out and you will be able to deal with it. So, stop crying before your Goliath, stop crying before your problem. your future is your picture, paint it well and focus on it.

Progress is sweet but it goes through the channel of pressure. Pressing is the price for progress. Price for progres is pressure. Say to yourself – ‘I refuse to be stagnated, I refuse to be on the same spot'. So, press on and become a celebrity for Christ. Be progress driven and progress conscious. Solomon began to rot away when he had nothing to do, he finished all that’s in his heart’… If you have nothing to do the devil will appoint you and you will join the backbiting team breeding the seed of bitterness.

God be with you all in your journey of progress. Keep going and don’t be afraid… your challenges are not only particular to you, someone has experienced it before, with God you can make it through and succeed so well, living out God’s will and purpose for your life.

(Hope you enjoyed the message, check out this section again next week. God bless)
