Elder Ayodeji Adesina (Host Minister) 

Elder Ayo is the Lay Pastor for Blessed Hope SDA Church.  He is loved by his members for his down to earth messages and humour.  He is passionate about the gospel and loves sharing his faith.  Elder Ayo is a visionary and a man of big dreams.  He is glad that God has birth this first Annual Believers Convention and looks forward to welcoming all delegates to the Convention.

Evangelist Costa Vaggas

Costa Vaggas has worked in the church as an evangelist, youth leader and a teen’s leader. He was the evangelism chairperson and the President of the London Youth Federation for four years and during this time was presented with the ‘Overseas Evangelist’ award. Costa has been preaching since he was 18 and has worked extensively throughout his home country and has conducted many revivals and campaigns over the last ten years. He is especially popular amongst the young people he has worked with.

Costa Vaggas is a much-travelled evangelist who has ministered in South America, the USA, the UK, Europe, Australia and Africa. He has worked in places that others refused to work in for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. An example was during the civil war in Liberia [which cost the lives of half a million people of its people], Evangelist Vaggas became the first international evangelist to minister in the war-torn nation for ten years. The Lord blessed those efforts and after a successful campaign a new church was raised up and 500 souls we baptised in the Name of the Lord.  Outside of his evangelistic work Costa works as a photographer and runs his own business.

Costa has a desire to see men, women and children live a life with purpose and hope and believes that this can only be found in surrendering to the will of Jesus Christ. When asked to describe himself prior to being presented to waiting congregations he has always said, “I am a sinner saved by grace… all the glory must go to God!”

Mr Simon Owoade (Author and Motivational Speaker)

Simon developed a passion for working with and helping young people during his time of working as a secondary school teacher for three years. He has in the past been involved with the Prison Fellowship and hospital ministries. He has worked in the past with HM Revenue & Customs at Heathrow Airport, as a Prison Officer in a detention centre for female offenders, and as a Community Support Officer with the Metropolitan Police Service. Simon has been involved in motivational speaking engagements across London and in Manchester, especially within Black Communities, motivating young people to shun violence and crime, and develop themselves positively. He has spoken at the Victoria Climbie Foundation, the United Anglo-Caribbean Society and at various events for young people within black communities. He has appeared on Ben TV, Revelation TV and been involved in discussion programmes on Premier Christian Radio. He has also written for the Hillingdon Race Equality Council. Simon is presently a volunteer worker with Teen Challenge, a Christian charity committed to helping drug addicts beat their drug addiction. He also volunteers with Barnados, a children’s charity that supports troubled teenagers and young people who may have experienced drug misuse, youth crime, sexual abuse and domestic violence, working to bring out the best in every child. Simon is a writer, speaker and training facilitator, developing minds and empowering people.

 Pastor Bukky Ajide (Victory Sanctuary SDA Church, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria)
